Chief Executive Officer
As President, Chief Executive Officer and a board member of Corporate Visions, Joe Terry spearheads the company’s vision and strategy execution.
With more than 20 years of experience in sales, sales management, marketing, operations and executive management at companies such as Pacific Medical, PeopleSoft, Workstream and Kronos, Joe is focused on continuing to grow Corporate Visions into a world-class organization that serves not only its employees and customers, but also its local communities.
Since his arrival in 2008, Joe has led the company to record growth in bookings, revenue and profits. The company has achieved an impressive 41 percent compounded annual growth rate in the last six years under his leadership. In 2013, Corporate Visions doubled in size, experienced a 95 percent increase in bookings, a 111 percent increase in revenue and a 113 percent increase in EBITDA.
Joe has played an instrumental role in leading the company through four successful acquisitions, including Executive Conversation (November 2013), BayGroup International (April 2013), WhiteboardSelling (September 2012) and Customer Message Management (August 2008). He also led the management buyout efforts alongside private equity partner Hammond, Kennedy & Whitney. Currently, Corporate Visions is one of the highest performing companies in its portfolio.
A highly successful athlete, Joe played middle linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks and is an accomplished triathlete competitor. He won the 2012 Ironman Florida Executive Challenge and qualified for and finished the 2013 Ironman World Championship in addition to many other Ironman races. He also founded the CVI Power Foundation, which provides employee and company donations to various charitable organizations all over the world.
Joe studied marketing at California State University, Hayward, and earned a B.A. in management from the University of Phoenix. He also has completed multiple executive education courses from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford School of Business and Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and twin daughters.
Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer
Tim Riesterer is Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of Corporate Visions, responsible for leading the strategic direction of the company in thought leadership, positioning and product development.Tim has more than 20 years experience in Marketing and Sales. Prior to joining Corporate Visions, Tim co-founded Customer Message Management, LLC (CMM Group), where he was CEO until it was acquired by Corporate Visions in 2008. Before CMM Group, Tim was CMO and VP of Strategic Services for Ventaso. Additionally Tim was President and CEO of Brady Marketing Group and has worked in marketing, communication and sales support for world-class technology manufacturers such as Rockwell Automation and GE Medical Systems.Tim is co-author of Customer Message Management: Increasing Marketing’s Impact on Selling (Thomson/AMA) and Conversations that Win the Complex Sale: Using Power Messaging to Create More Opportunities, Differentiate Your Solution, and Close More Deals (McGraw Hill) and has a degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Tim lives in the Milwaukee area with his wife and four daughters, he enjoys singing and acting.
Chief Financial Officer
Shaun Han is Chief Financial Officer of Corporate Visions, and leads the company’s Finance, HR, Legal, and IT teams. Shaun is responsible for financial reporting, defining capital structure, planning, and optimizing the financial performance and growth. Additionally, Shaun is responsible for leading the technology direction and IT strategy in support of product development, service delivery and company operations.
Shaun brings 20+ years of experience in finance and accounting. Prior to joining Corporate Visions, he held a similar position with Executive Conversation, which was acquired by Corporate Visions. Shaun also worked in the tax division of Deloitte LLP and operated his own CPA firm.
Shaun graduated with a BA from Southern Methodist University, holds an MBA degree from Cornell University, and a MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Shaun lives in Seattle, WA. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, exercising, and playing the guitar.
Kevin Guthrie is Executive Vice President of Global Sales. He is responsible for leading all Corporate Visions’ sales activities, account management and strategic reseller relationships.
Kevin possesses 18 years of sales and executive sales management experience in the enterprise software and services industries. His teams have consistently exceeded financial targets, and Corporate Visions has delivered record sales every year since Kevin joined the company in 2010.
Prior to joining Corporate Visions, Kevin led Oracle’s Commercial CRM On-Demand Team as Vice President of North America Sales. Under his leadership, CRM On-Demand was the fastest growing business application in Oracle’s portfolio. Kevin also held various sales leadership positions at Hyperion Solutions until it was acquired by Oracle.
As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Kevin worked for the US Department of Justice and participated in the London Study Program prior to graduating with a BA degree. He has completed additional coursework in Corporate Finance at University of California, Berkeley. Kevin enjoys family activities, exercise, golf and playing the guitar. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife and four daughters.
Jeff Clidence is Executive Vice President of Operations of Corporate Visions. He leads Corporate Visions’ Operations and Project Management Teams. He is responsible for corporate strategy and analytics, and increasing operational efficiency across the organization.
Prior to joining Corporate Visions, Jeff was a member of the investment team at our equity partner Hammond Kennedy Whitney, managing more than $300 million of assets. He was responsible for evaluating investment opportunities through constructing financial models and performing financial, business and industry due diligence. Jeff has additional experience within the investment banking industry with Robert W. Baird & Company, where he advised companies on strategic decisions, valuation models, IPO analysis, M&A and capital fundraising activities.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management with an emphasis on Corporate Finance from Purdue University. Jeff lives in San Francisco, CA and enjoys golfing, skiing, sailing and Purdue sports.
Executive Vice President, Consulting
Erik Peterson is Executive Vice President of Consulting of Corporate Visions. He is responsible for leading the company’s consulting team globally, including staff and certified contractors. Erik has delivered consulting engagements, keynotes, and messaging skills workshops to more than 10,000 marketing and sales executives in over 13 countries, and his team has done this work in 56 countries around the world.
Prior to Corporate Visions, Erik held various director-level positions at IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Element K. Throughout his career he has successfully led marketing teams, salespeople, demand generation, national accounts, inside sales, and training. This experience provides a unique perspective on the challenges facing marketing and sales leaders today.
He is also the co-author of Conversations that Win the Complex Sale: Using Power Messaging to Create More Opportunities, Differentiate Your Solution, and Close More Deals (McGraw Hill). Erik received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of New York at Buffalo. He lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and three boys.
Jim Melillo is an Executive Director and non-voting Board Member and is responsible for the integration of the Executive Conversations Intellectual Property into Corporate Visions, as well as a Consulting Executive with emphasis on Healthcare, Technology and Channels. Jim Melillo combines CFO level experience in addition to corporate development and treasury areas overseeing more than thirty global mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financings. For the last 15 years, he has concentrated on working with technology channel organizations both in EMEA as well as domestically.
Mr. Melillo has held senior positions with a broad group of mid-market companies in the $200-$1,000 million revenue range. As CFO and director of NPI, Inc. Mr. Melillo oversaw one of the first “roll ups,” building the largest group of franchisee restaurants in the USA. During his tenure in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries Mr. Melillo was involved in structuring and negotiating licenses or joint ventures with leading corporations around the world, including Dow Pharmaceutical in the U.S., Hoechst Rousell of France, Perstorp Chemical of Sweden and Mitsubishi Biologicals of Japan. Prior to that he worked for Boston Consulting Group where he served such clients as Smith Kline, OMC/Evinrude, Corning Fiber Optics and Alpha-Philco.
A highly regarded consultant and lecturer in both business and educational environments, Mr. Melillo co-founded Executive Conversation, which was acquired by Corporate Visions in 2013. He enjoys offshore long distance sailboat racing, real estate and supporting domestic violence solutions.
Chief of Staff
Jeannie Frantz is Chief of Staff of Corporate Visions, advising and coordinating initiatives for the executive team. She also serves as Director of Campaigns and Operations, running inbound and outbound marketing campaigns, content and events, as well as sales operations and analytics.
Jeannie joined Corporate Visions in 2007 immediately after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Washington as part of the Academy for Young Scholars early-admission and College Honors programs. At the UW, she worked in nonprofit outreach, taught a course on youth political engagement, and served as Executive Editor for the Undergraduate Law Review. She splits her time between Incline Village and the San Francisco Bay area, and enjoys splitboarding, trail running, and learning to play the fiddle.
