overview

Corporate Visions is seeking to add an experienced Director of HR who is a strategic thinker, but loves being hands-on to provide a broad range of support. Due to continued growth at CVI, this newly created role, will have the opportunity to build and shape the function. Reporting to the CFO, who also oversees legal and IT, the successful incumbent will have experience building a people strategy from scratch in a growth environment, focusing on recruiting and developing talent, as well as “nuts and bolt” HR (e.g., compensation & benefits, payroll, legal compliance etc.).

responsibilities

  • Oversee HR / people function, including all functional areas.
  • Lead acquisition integration for HR and Talent work streams, building a unified culture and employee base.
  • Partner with executive team to execute the organization’s talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning.
  • Research and analyze trends in compensation and benefits and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Address employee relations issues including disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Review and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices, support development, implementation and revision of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Own and administer payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, workers compensation programs, etc., ensuring accurate and timely submission and communication.
  • Maintain HRIS, employee files, records, claims, and documentation.
  • Recruit the best possible talent as the company continues to scale. Develop a proactive pipeline of talent, aware of what the organization will need in the future.
  • Partner with Executive team to launch and update performance management tools, templates, and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR and/or PHR-CA highly desired.
  • 12 or more years of progressive HR experience, with 3-5 years of senior leadership HR experience.
  • Growth stage company experience, including scaling teams rapidly across multiple locations, deep domain expertise in working with highly skilled professional services, sales, and technology teams.
  • Experience with M&A, including the merging of payroll, benefits, etc. Familiarity with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Ability to operate at the strategic level, coupled with the willingness to manage the day to-day aspects of the HR function.
  • Proven-strategies to support a dispersed, remote-centered culture.
  • Well-versed in legal and regulatory matters that affect the workplace.
  • Experience working within a PE-backed company is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with acquisitions and related integrations.
  • Ability to develop an employee development program.
  • Familiarity with UK HR laws and policies is a plus.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
