learning developer/instructional designer

responsibilities

The Learning Developer / Instructional designer will write and produce content for the Products team. Specifically, this person will:

  • Conduct needs and gap analysis, coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to conduct research
  • Create high-level-design documents and write effective learning content, aligned to the internal ELPAR model
  • Work with vendors and part-own course production processes
  • Provide hands-on course development, using PowerPoint and advanced skills in Storyline development (and other tools – e.g. Rise), to supplement vendor capacity and carry out final tweaks and enhancements to modules built out-of-house
  • Develop initial templates and proofs-of-concept which vendors can then pick up and scale
  • Provide capacity for fast response to course adjustments and other ad hoc development and production tasks across the Product team

required background & experience

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience with digital SAAS products, ideal
  • Familiar with adult learning theories and corporate learning trends
  • Excellent research, content development and writing skills
  • Advanced skills in learning development tools, including Articulate Storyline
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage own tasks
  • Strong desire to innovate and work in a fast-paced design environment
  • Proven portfolio of work
